Athlete's Foot Specialist Care

The term “Athlete’s Foot” is misleading, as it doesn’t just occur in athletes. Athlete’s foot is a common name given to a fungus infection of the skin. Most people think it only occurs in between toes, but it can occur anywhere on the feet.
The skin can appear moist, flaky, blistered, or even cracked. Accurate diagnosis and effective treatment is important to resolve the infection.

Ditch the itch!

Athlete's Foot can cause a great deal of discomfort and can affect an individual’s quality of life as it can cause intensive itching or burning of the feet, particularly in bed or in shoes. Athlete’s foot can also be passed on directly from person to person contact, although people who sweat more are much more prone to infection. The fungus can spread to the toenails causing thickening and yellowing of the nail which is much harder to treat - Fungal Nails.
The fungus breeds in a dark, warm, and moist environment, and is therefore more prevalent in the summer months. It is important to eliminate one or more of the above conditions and to use the right preparation to get rid of the fungus.
